As an independent yoga and mindfulness specialist for children and teens we give school teachers, yoga teachers and other professionals working with children the skills and tools to help them bring the many benefits of yoga to children in a safe, fun and engaging way.

We are now in our 25th year and still committed to the highest quality training for our students. We use traditional yoga postures, breath awareness, relaxation and mindfulness techniques to sow the seeds for a lifelong practice, building happier, healthier and more resilient children.

Learn to Teach Mindfulness to Children

If you want to teach mindfulness to children in a professional capacity then this course is for you. It will provide all you need to safely share your passion for mindfulness with children in a fun and engaging way. You will be supported in your own practice during the course and learn how to embody and model mindfulness for your students.

Learn to Teach Mindfulness to Children    

If you want to teach mindfulness to children in a professional capacity then this course is for you. It will provide all you need to safely share your passion for mindfulness with children in a fun and engaging way. Experience Required:

An established meditation practice and some previous meditation training or guidance preferred. Completion of our Mindfulness Foundation Course or Introduction to Mindfulness to Children would meet the course entry requirements.

You receive additional weekly learning, via email for six weeks from the course start date. You have access to the course for 9 months giving you plenty of time to complete the course and receive your certificate.

Learn to Teach Yoga to Children Aged 2 1/2 to 12

This Yoga Alliance accredited course offers a comprehensive training, giving students the skills and confidence to teach yoga to children from ages 2 ½ to 12.  There are homework assignments, quizzes and group teaching practice for different ages.  A teaching certificate will be issued on successful completion of the course.

BWY Module - Learn to Teach Yoga to Children & Teens

This course is for qualified yoga teachers and trainees who want to teach to children and teens. It is a fun and creative approach to yoga offering more daytime teaching opportunities. 

The course comprehensively covers ways to safely adapt your practice for young people from ages 2 ½ to 18.

Course Dates: The next module will be held in early 2025.  There will be four live Saturday morning sessions.  The pre-recorded material which is on our easy to use learning platform will be drip fed over the three months. The last live session will include practical teaching assessments.

Live Dates: January 18th, February 8th, March 1st, 22nd.  Time 9.30 – 1.30.

Time Requirement: This course takes around 52 hours to complete, including homework assignments.

Mindfulness Foundation Course

This short course covers the fundamental principles of mindfulness theory and practice. It is designed for those who have a lot of demands on their time and whilst based on the MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) course, the practices are shorter and more realistic for busy people.  

Suitable for:

Beginners or those new to mindfulness who would like to understand the theory of mindfulness and establish a personal practice.

This course helped me to understand what mindfulness is and why it is worth developing a practice.  It gave me the motivation and support to establish a regular practice and some great techniques to manage stress in my life.

It looks at the difference between teaching yoga to teens versus teaching to adults or younger children.  You will also learn the physical, emotional and psychological development that occurs during adolescence.

One to One Mentoring with Christiane Kerr

These sessions are designed to help you fast track your learning and development. There are two options: monthly sessions of 30 minutes (cancel anytime) or 50 minute single sessions.  

They are ideal if you want to:

  • Establish a mindfulness or yoga practice and don’t know where to start. 
  • Have an existing practice but need some help and inspiration. 
  • Want some help or support with your children’s yoga business. 
  • Helping you integrate mindfulness into your family/daily life
  • Support in bringing mindfulness to your school or classroom
  • Would like to train to be a yoga /mindfulness teacher 

Suitable For:

These sessions are suitable for anyone with an interest in yoga or mindfulness, both professional and personal.

What the Sessions Will Cover:  

The sessions are designed to meet your needs and you select the topic. 

There is an intake form where you can let the tutor know and each session can be on a different topic. Sessions may include a guided practice or may be more discussion based helping you move forward.  

Format: These sessions are via Zoom or a phone call whichever suits you best. After you have booked and returned the intake form the tutor will be in touch with a calendar link for you to select your session/s and preferred mode of contact.  

Resources: Where applicable, you will be sent relevant resources such as lesson plans, downloadable audio or links to external resources.
